Starting all three games in the tournament, Tori Witruk pitched every inning of Parkland’s doubleheader on the first day of the tournament in route to her second straight monthly accolade. Against Danville Area, Witruk held the Jaguars in check over the final four innings and then capped the comeback with a two-out, three-run homer for a 9-7 victory. Later that evening, Witruk held No. 1 seed Illinois Central to two earned runs over six innings while hitting her second home run of the tournament. In addition to the tournament success, Witruk also tossed 15 innings combined during the previous weekend against Danville Area and Lewis & Clark.
