"As a freshman, Ryleigh really started to find her stride towards the end of the year," said volleyball head coach
Cliff Hastings. "It's always tough for a freshman to be a primary player and perform at one's highest level for your team. As a sophomore, those expectations change in that it should be easier. A sophomore has to get into a new mental frame of mind to expect performance each and every time. It's a tough transition for everyone (especially when those expectations of greatness then become personal expectations of perfection), but Ryleigh has done an outstanding job. She has balanced her 3 P's (patience, persistence and perseverance) wonderfully, and we are so lucky to have Ryleigh leading us to victory on, and off, the court."
