Parkland College Athletics named women's basketball player Cassie Russo as its February Female Athlete of the Month. Russo's squad was 6-3 during the month.

The sophomore forward from Tuscola Ill., averaged 10.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game in the month of February, shooting 54.2% from the field and recording 9 total assists and 4 steals. She recorded two double-doubles during the month, including February 15th, against John Wood, when she scored 20 points and secured 15 rebounds.
 
"Cassie has always been a leader on this team and steps up big when it counts," stated head coach Allie Lindemann.
