Mavunga helped the #3 ranked Men to a 4-1 record in December and an over-all record of 11-2 at the break.  The Cobra Men are off until a January 9th contest at Kankakee. The Women are 2-1 in December and 6-4 over-all and will play a pair of games in the Laker Classic next week.

Mavunga, a sophomore transfer who attended Brownsburg HS in Indiana, scored 83 points in the five games with a career high 24 against St. Louis. He finished in double figures in all five games, averaging 16.6 points per contest. He made (27-51) field goals, shooting at a 52.9% clip. He was officially effective from three point range where he made 20 of 35 (57.0%) from behind the arc. He also made 9-12 free throws (75%) while pulling down 4.2 rebounds per game.
