CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Parkland men's basketball guard Charles Campbell Jr. recorded his first career double-double, scoring 21 points and bringing down 12 rebounds, as the Cobras defeated Richard J. Daley, 80-72 on Saturday. One of four Cobras in double figures, Campbell was joined by Yaakema Rose Jr. (15), Ty'Ohn Trimble (13) and Darin Bellinger (11).

Hitting eight more shots than Daley, the Cobras shot 49-percent from the field on the day. Making up for an off-day from three-point range and from the foul line, the Cobras made 28 shots on 48 attempts from inside the arc, 24 from inside the paint. Helping the offensive effort was 10 offensive rebounds to go along with 34 on the defensive end. In total, the Cobras outrebounded the visitors by seven (44-37).

Surpassing 20 points for the first time in his Cobra career, Campbell Jr.'s 21 points surpassed his previous high of 19 points which came in the season opener at North Arkansas.
