CHAMPAIGN, IL – The Parkland Women's Soccer Team fell to 3-8 with a 0-6 non-conference loss to St. Charles (MO).
St. Charles limited the Cobras to 5 shots on goal, and the Cougar keeper was able to make a save on each one. The Parkland defense was challenged by a potent Cougar offense that produced 21 shots on goal. The Cobra defense, anchored by
Alexis Hallden,
Ellen Kennedy, and
Leanne Groombridge played with determination throughout the match, and keeper
Michelle Miller made 14 saves on the afternoon.
Next up for Women's Soccer will be a rescheduled M-WAC conference match against John Wood, which was previously postponed due to weather. This match will take place on Monday, October 14, at 5:00 pm, in Quincy, IL.
