Jorquera Hat Trick Leads Cobras Past Wabash Valley

MT. CARMEL, Ill. – Freshmen forward Maria Jorquera scored her second hat trick of the season to lead Parkland women's soccer to a 6-1 victory at Wabash Valley on Wednesday afternoon. The win improves the Cobras' record to 3-6 on the season.

Her second hat trick this month, Jorquera matched her season-high in goals scored from a September 14 win over Lincoln Trail. With the three goals on Wenesday, Jorquera now has 10 goals in her last four games and 14 total this season.

In addition to hat trick, Jorquera also put shots on frame that led two more goals, as Wabash Valley allowed a pair of own goals off Jorquera attempts. Sophomore Georgia Ward scored her sixth goal of the season for the sixth tally.

Up next, the Cobras will travel to Godfrey, Illinois for a 12 p.m. match against No. 8 Lewis & Clark.
