GODFREY, IL –Parkland men's soccer finished its season at 11-7-1 (2-2 M-WAC) with a 0-4 loss to Illinois Central College in the Region 24 semi-finals.
ICC came out strong, netting all 4 goals in the 1
st period, though the Cobras keeper ended with a total of 4 saves. The Parkland offense produced 5 shots on goal, but each one was saved by the Cougars keeper.
The Cobras will graduate 10 sophomores, including top points earners
Yu Sasaki (22 goals, 14 assists) and
Naoto Uede (9 goals, 10 assists). Returning next season will be 11 current freshmen, including
Jonathan Velasquez (10 goals) and keeper
Matteo Gigliozzi.
