CHAMPAIGN, IL - The No. 16 Parkland men's basketball team improved to 6-2, and extended its winning streak to 3 games, with an 84-75 win over Lansing Community College (4-2).
Though down throughout the game, the visiting Stars made a couple of late runs and held small leads midway through the second half. Key buckets by the Cobras at opportune times prevented Lansing from maintaining a lead, and they visitors ultimately succumbed.
Offensive leaders for Parkland included
Bruno Williams Jr. (18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists),
Carter Jeffries (15 points, 7 rebounds), and
Charles Campbell Jr. (14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists).
Joey Saracco (10 points, 2 blocks) was solid on both ends, and
Kamari Kenemore (7 points, 2 assists) was strong off the bench.
