CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The No. 17 Parkland men's basketball team (10-3) defeated Rend Lake College (7-6, 1-3) by a final score of 68-54. This avenges a 59-83, November 13th loss to the Warriors on their home court.
The Cobras outscored Rend Lake in both halves, leading by 9 at the break.
Joey Saracco (20 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals) led all scorers. Extensive offensive help came from
Kelvin Swims (12 points, 3 rebounds),
Carter Jeffries (11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals), and
Kamari Kenemore (10 points, 2 assists), the latter who was 2-3 from 3-point range. Parkland also held the edge in rebounds, led by Saracco, Sam Beesley (5 rebounds, 2 assists), and
Charles Campbell Jr. (7 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists), securing 34 and holding the Warriors to 22.
