Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 10 ranked Parkland Men's team lost 6-2 against the Heartland Hawks in a MWAC contest on Tuesday. Parkland is now 4-1-1 overall and 1-1 in the MWAC.
The Cobras' points came in the second half at 22:20 when Sophomore Yu Sasaki used a head shot to put the ball into the goal on an assist by Pablo Diaz. Sasaki scored again at 7:21 left on a penalty kick.
Freshman Matteo Gigliozzi had two saves in the first half. Parkland had only one shot-on-goal in the first half and a total of four in the second with seven corner kicks.
Heartland scored six goals in the first half and had eight shots-on-goal for the game plus the Hawks goalies had four saves.
Parkland Men's Soccer is to travel to Spencer, Iowa to play the No. 11 ranked Iowa Lakes on Saturday for a noon contest.
