Box Score SPENCER, Iowa - No. 10 Parkland men's soccer dropped a Saturday afternoon match at Iowa Central, falling 2-1 despite a second-half goal from Jonathan Velasquez. 

Falling behind in the first half, the Cobras allowed goals in the 15th and 31st minute and trailed 2-0 at the half.

Parkland bounced back quickly to begin the second half, cutting the lead in half with a goal two minutes into the second half. Velasquez connected on his fourth goal of 2019 off an assist from Pablo Diaz.

Overall, Parkland took eight total shots on goal to go along with three corner kicks. The Cobras will try to get back in the win column tomorrow, September 15, against Iowa Lakes.
