Ryleigh Warfel and
Paige Yoder both recorded 10 kills to lead the team.
Hitting .523 as a team, the Cobras had four attackers with at least eight kills. Led by 10 from both Warfel and Yoder, Abbigail Burnett and
Amanda Greening added in nine and eight, respectively. The offense was again paced by Parkland's setter duo, as
Summerlyn Smith and
Rachel Verdun combined for 30 assists in the victory. Warfel and Yoder also contributed on the defensive end with seven digs by Warfel and two blocks for Yoder, while
Gabby Wessels led the team with 11 digs.
Having won 11 straight matches, the Cobras return home for seven straight, beginning with the Parkland Volleyball Classic this weekend. Held September 27-29, the Cobras will play twice on all three days: Southwestern Illinois (2 p.m.) and Muskegon (6 p.m.) on Friday, Rock Valley (9 a.m.) and Rend Lake (7 p.m.) on Saturday and Owens (10am) and Millikin JV (2 p.m.) on Sunday. The Cobras conclude the homestand on Wednesday, October 2, with a home match against No. 13 Illinois Central.
