CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Cobra Volleyball team picked up a pair of wins at the Kirkwood Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday.

In the first match, Parkland defeated Johnson County 3-1 (25-19, 25-18, 22-25, 25-19).

Sophomore outside hitter Ryleigh Warfel had a double-double, 17 kills and 15 digs. Defensive Specialist Brooke Norder led the team in digs with 16. Sophomore Rachel Verdun was also had a double-double with 19 assists and 14 digs. Freshman setter Summerlyn Smith had 20 assists.

The Cobras posted a 3-0 victory over Sauk Valley winning sets 25-10, 25-18, 25-9 in their last match on Saturday.

Brooke Norder obtained 17 digs while Summerlyn Smith had 19 assists and seven kills.

Parkland is now 19-1 overall and is set to travel to Spoon River for a MWAC contest on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
