The Cobras (13-2-1) came into this on a seven-game winning streak, but they knew it would be a tall task to knock off a ranked Division I program. Neither team looked to have the upper hand early, but the Trailblazers (10-4-1) were the ones to break through first, scoring a penalty kick in the 40
th minute to make it 1-0 at the half. Parkland failed to record a shot in the first half, but the momentum would swing in the 69
th minute when Jonathon Velasquez found the back of the net to tie the game. Not too long later,
Cameron Walker serviced forward
Yamato Kline for his ninth goal of the season and all of the sudden, the Cobras had the lead. The dagger came in the 87
th minute, when a player on Lewis & Clark picked up a yellow card in the box and captain Guiseppe Verrecchia buried the penalty to give the Cobras a 3-1 victory. The Parkland Cobras finish their regular season on an eight-game win streak.
