Box Score 2 SPRINGFIELD, Ill., – The No. 3 Parkland College volleyball team won the Lincoln Land Tournament Saturday, winning both of their matches against Mott Community College and Lincoln Land Community College. The Cobras defeated Mott Community College in their first match 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-12) and hosts Lincoln Land Community College in the second match 3-1 (19-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-17). Parkland finishes 4-0 on the weekend and have now won 24 matches in a row.

The Cobras (42-3) took care of business early, sweeping Mott Community College (11-11), but they were up for a challenge against Lincoln Land. The Loggers (18-14) surprised the third-ranked Cobras by winning the first set and keeping it very close in the second, before the Cobras were able to pull away at the end.
Kat Blase was a star on offense and defense Saturday, finishing the day with 19 kills and 16 blocks, and
Sophie Young continued her stretch of great setter play, ending the weekend with 166 assists across four matches.

Up next, Parkland will head back to Champaign and welcome Lincoln College JV for a doubleheader on Wednesday October 20
th. Those two matches are set to begin at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
