Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN, Ill., – The No. 3 Parkland College volleyball team defeated the Lincoln College Junior Varsity squad twice on Wednesday night, winning both matches 3-0, (25-7, 25-12, 25-9) and (25-6, 25-8, 25-9). The Cobras have now won all 18 home games this season going into the Parkland North vs. South Challenge this weekend.
The Cobras (44-3) used 14 different players throughout the night and found success with all of them. The JV Lynx just didn't have an answer for the third-ranked Cobras, especially
Jayden Sortor, who finished the night with 15 kills and 3 blocks.
Sophie Young, who was named the September Athlete of the Month earlier today, finished the night with 64 assists as the Cobras rolled to two 3-0 victories.
Up next, Parkland will host some of the best Division II NJCAA volleyball teams in the nation at the Parkland North vs. South Challenge this weekend. The Cobras are scheduled to play #4 Sauk Valley Community College and #14 McHenry County College on Friday, at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM respectively.
