Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN. Ill., – The No. 3 Parkland College volleyball team won the Parkland North vs. South Challenge on Saturday afternoon, taking down Carl Sandberg College (25-13, 25-10, 25-13) and Lake Land College (25-11, 25-12, 25-20) in straight sets to finish the weekend 4-0. The Cobras have now won all 22 home matches this season and 30 matches in a row.

The Cobras (48-3) looked determined early, taking down the Chargers (21-15) in straight sets in large part thanks to the duo of
Kat Blase (11 kills, 6 blocks) and
Sophie Young (34 assists). Freshmen Arika Richardon also stepped up with 10 kills and 4 blocks in the win.

In the second match, the Cobras jumped on the Division I Lakers (13-16) early and never looked back.
Elle Schupbach (7 kills, 14 digs, 5 blocks) was everywhere on defense and sophomore libero
Kayla Brandon had an impressive afternoon, tallying 21 digs in the win.

Up next, Parkland will wrap up their regular season by hosting Illinois Valley Community College and Frontier Community College in the Parkland Tri #7 on Saturday, October 30. Matches are scheduled to start at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, respectively.
