Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN, Ill., – The No. 3 Parkland College volleyball team came out on top versus Illinois Central College and Joliet Junior College in the fourth Parkland Tri of the season on Wednesday. The Cobras (34-3) have not dropped a set in any of their last six matches.

The Cobras were tested in their first match, where Illinois Central College took them to overtime in the second game and kept things close in the third, but Parkland prevailed thanks to an all-around performance from
Elle Schupbach (6 kills, 9 digs, 2 blocks, 2 aces) and an aerial attack of
Hailey Sperling (15 kills),
Kat Blase (10 kills) and
Arika Richardson (9 kills). The second match looked to be all Parkland at first, quickly winning the first game 25-9, but Joliet Junior College did not go quietly. It took a team performance from the Cobras to win their 16
th match in a row.

Up next, Parkland welcomes Kankakee Community College and Southeastern Illinois College to Champaign on Saturday, October 9
th for the Parkland Tri #5. The two matches are set to begin at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
