Â
The Cobras (55-3) were familiar with Iowa Central coming into this match. The two teams met in the Triton Volleyball Invitational on September 3
rd and again at the Kirkwood Tournament on September 10
th. The Cobras lost both of those matches, two of their three losses this season, and were out for revenge on Friday night. The Tritons (42-2) entered the match as the higher seed, but the Cobras looked like better team early, jumping out to an early lead in the first set and winning on a definitive kill from sophomore
Halle Everett. The trend continued when Parkland made quick work of ICCC in the second set. The third set saw the Cobras jump out to an early 5-2 lead and never look back, holding on to that lead all the way until the final point and the ticket to the National Championship was booked.
