Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland College men's soccer team wrapped up its 2022 regular season on Saturday, October 15th in a 2-1 loss at home against Lewis & Clark Community College. The Cobras fell behind early in the first half, but freshman Kyohei Kuroda tied it up in the 61st minute and the game remained knotted at 1-1 before the Trailblazers pulled ahead with four minutes to go and handed Parkland the loss. Sophomore goalkeeper Sebastian Staddon made four saves in the Cobras' final regular season game.
 
"It was another difficult challenge today against a tough Division I team," Parkland College head coach Mark Sikora said after the loss. "This was a frustrating way to end the regular season, but we can take the lessons we learned and put together a run in the upcoming regional tournament."
 
The Cobras (7-8-2) trailed 1-0 after the Trailblazers (7-5) found the back of the net just three minutes into the game and the score remained the same throughout the first half. In the second half, freshman Samuele Selva assisted Kyohei Kuroda in the 61st minute and the Japanese international student slotted home his ninth goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Both teams struggled to pull ahead until Lewis & Clark scored the game-winner with just four minutes to go, handing Parkland the 2-1 loss on Saturday.
