NORMAL, Ill. – The Parkland College Men's Soccer Team saw its season come to a close on Saturday, October 29th as the Cobras lost 7-1 to 6th-ranked Heartland Community College in the NJCAA Region 24 Championship game. Parkland freshman Ryosuke Nakajima scored the one Cobra goal of the day in Normal, but it was not enough as head coach
Mark Sikora's team finishes the season with a record of 8-9-2.
"We just didn't show up to compete from the beginning, something that can't happen if you want to beat one of the best teams in the nation at their place," Parkland College head coach
Mark Sikora confessed after the loss. "The performance really came out of nowhere considering how well we played in our last match, but that's college soccer."
