Box Score QUINCY, Ill. – The No. 3 ranked Parkland College volleyball team opened their 2022 conference season with a sweep of John Wood Community College on the road on Wednesday, August 31st. The Cobras quickly took care of the Blazers, winning in straight sets, as returning NJCAA DII All-American sophomore middle hitter Kat Blase led the offense with 11 kills while sophomore libero and returning MWAC All-Conference First Teamer Josie Hess led the defense with 26 digs. Parkland (10-1) has now won 9 matches in a row.
 
Up next, Parkland travels to Perrysburg, Ohio on Saturday, September 3rd to compete in the Owens Invitational. The Cobras open the tournament at 11:30 AM ET against Macomb Community College before facing 15th-ranked Richard Bland College at 1:30 PM ET.
