Box Score QUINCY, Ill. – The No. 14 Parkland College men's soccer team battled back from a late one-goal deficit in an exciting 2-1 victory in overtime over John Wood Community College on Saturday, September 17th. Sophomore
Yamato Kline led the way for the Cobras (4-3-1), scoring the equalizer in the 82nd minute before netting the game-winner in the 98th to give Parkland its first overtime win of the season over the Blazers (3-3) on the road.
"The guys showed a tremendous amount of grit in an extremely hostile environment," Parkland head coach
Mark Sikora revealed after the overtime win. "The game could have gone sideways for us at different times, but they stuck to the plan and kept fighting. While this was definitely a team win, extra kudos to

Yamato Kline. They not only kept us in the game but took us over the top in the end."
Up next, the Cobras have a quick turn-around, welcoming Division I Jefferson College to Champaign tomorrow, September 18th. Kickoff against the Vikings will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday at the Parkland College Soccer Field.
