Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 14 Parkland College men's soccer team tied Division I Jefferson College 1-1 in a fierce double overtime battle on Sunday, September 18th. The Cobras (4-3-2) faced a quick turnaround after defeating John Wood Community College in overtime under 24 hours before the kickoff of Sunday's game, but the team held strong to get the result against the 8th-ranked Vikings (6-1-2) at home. Sophomore goalkeeper Sebastian Staddon stood on his head for the Cobras, making five crucial saves in the tie, and sophomore Logan Woodward scored the lone Parkland goal in the 59th minute on an assist from Yamato Kline.
 
"I am extremely proud of the grit that the team showed after an overtime game less than 24 hours prior," head coach Mark Sikora said after the tie. "This was a heavyweight fight today and we held our own. Sebastian Staddon stepped in the goal for 110 minutes and gave us a chance to win, we just couldn't find one last goal."
