Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 4 ranked Parkland College volleyball team added another crucial win over a Region 24 foe on Wednesday, October 4, as the Cobras defeated No. 12 Illinois Central College in straight sets at the Donald C. Dodds Jr. Athletic Complex. The Cobras (29-3) survived a close first set (25-21) against the Cougars (20-9) before a comfortable win in set two (25-12) and a controlled 25-19 third set to complete the sweep. Freshman setter Alayna Rudebeck led Parkland with 23 assists and four aces on Wednesday, while sophomore outside hitter Bri Struck tallied a team-high 18 kills in the Cobras' 11th win in a row.
 
Up next, the Cobras compete in the Des Moines Area Community College Tournament this weekend, beginning on Friday, October 6. The Cobras open the two-day tournament against No. 6 Iowa Central Community College (19-2) at noon and Bismarck State College (16-8) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
