"Some days you just have to grind out a result, and that is exactly what we did today, Parkland College head coach
Mark Sikora said after the game. "John Wood was really up for the game and played a style that suited their field and their team. We kept a 'bend but don't break' mentality throughout and scored some very timely goals."
"Every player worked hard today, especially Yahli Cohen and
Ron Naftali, but so much of our success in this game came down to the attacking work of
Shion Hayashi and
William Arana," Sikora added.
"We wish to dedicate today to the family, loved ones, and friends of our players from Israel, Ron and Yahli, after this morning's attack. We keep them in our thoughts and prayers."
