Box Score 2 BOONE, Iowa. – The No. 4 ranked Parkland College volleyball team picked up two ranked wins over No. 1 Johnson County Community College and No. 14 (DI) Indian Hills Community College on Saturday, October 7, at the DMACC Tournament. The Cobras (32-4) dropped their opening set against the Cavaliers (27-2) but rallied to take control in a back-and-forth third set and closed out the win in convincing fashion. Parkland managed to get an early lead in the second match before the Warriors (18-7) evened it up, but the Cobras kept their cool and pulled out the win. Sophomore
Bri Struck totaled a team-best 34 kills on Saturday, and
Landry Warfel led the Cobras with 45 assists.

Up next, the Cobras host the Parkland Region Crossover Tournament next weekend, beginning on Saturday, October 14, at the Donald C. Dodds Jr. Athletic Complex. Parkland opens the tournament against McHenry County College (19-7) at noon before facing Southeastern Illinois College (8-17) at 2:00 p.m.
