BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The No. 8 Parkland College women's basketball team earned a hard-fought 76-70 win at Southwestern Illinois College on Saturday, November 18. Parkland shot over 52% from the field (31-59) and recorded 16 assists. Freshman
Siarah Brown (21 points, 3/6 3PT) led the Cobras in scoring, and sophomore

Parkland College head coach Jean Demosthenes credited SWIC's physicality after the game, saying, "They took it to us early, and we realized we had to play our game, run our set, and take the best shots."
Â
"We have to do a better job taking care of the ball. Today's turnovers hurt us as a team," Demosthenes added. "It was an ugly victory, and we must clean up some of our mistakes."
