CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. – The No. 3 seed Parkland College volleyball team saw its season come to an end in the NJCAA DII National Tournament Consolation Semifinals, losing in five sets to No. 4 seed Johnson County Community College on Saturday, November 18. The Cobras (46-6) dropped the opening set to the Cavaliers (36-4) but recovered by winning the next two. Johnson County pulled away late in the fourth and fifth sets, handing Parkland its sixth and final loss of the season. Sophomore

Landry Warfel (24 assists) produced a team-high 24 assists in the loss.

The Cobras fell behind 1-0 early, but the team battled back. Parkland led the whole way in a set two win, and the No. 3 seed won a crucial, hard-fought third set to take the lead. In the fourth set, Johnson County went on an early run and never let Parkland get closer than three, forcing a match-deciding set five. The Cobras trailed after the first couple of points, tying it at 6-6 and taking the lead shortly after, but the Cavaliers regained the lead, and Parkland's late push fell short.
