Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 3 ranked Parkland College volleyball team hosted its first matches of 2023 on Saturday, August 26th, beating 16th-ranked Hawkeye Community College and Region 24 rival Southwestern Illinois College on day one of the Parkland "School's Back" Tournament. The Cobras (7-1) dropped their opening set to the Redtails (4-2) before bouncing back to win three straight and take the match in four. The hosts started strong and looked in control against the Blue Storm (2-3), sweeping SWIC for their seventh win in a row.

Up next, the Cobras battle No. 9 Muskegon Community College and St. Louis Community College tomorrow, August 27th, on the final day of the School's Back Tournament. The Cobras face the Jayhawks (1-4) at 1:00 PM and the Archers (0-6) at 3:00 PM on Sunday at the Donald C. Dodds Jr. Athletic Complex.
