No. 5 Parkland Volleyball Win at Spoon River College in Four Sets

The Cobras win their fifth straight match

Box Score CANTON, Ill. – The No. 5 ranked Parkland College volleyball team picked up a road win on Wednesday, September 20, defeating Spoon River College in four sets. The Cobras (23-3) started strong, winning the first set, but the Snappers (6-16) battled back to win set two before Parkland won the final two sets to earn its fifth straight win. Freshman setter Alayna Rudebeck (20 assists, 4 aces) led the team in assists and service aces off the bench, and sophomore outside hitter Bri Struck (17 kills, 3 blocks) tallied 20 points in the win.
 
Up next, the Cobras are back in action next Wednesday, September 27, at home against John Wood Community College. Tip-off against the Trailblazers (10-8) is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Donald C. Dodds Jr. Athletic Complex.
