Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 NORMAL, Ill. – No. 4 Parkland volleyball picked up two wins at the Heartland Invite on Saturday, October 12th, defeating both Hawkeye Community College (8-19) and No. 20 Rock Valley College (21-10). The Cobras improve to 37-2 overall and 15-1 in neutral site matches. 
 
Shay McMillen had 11 kills for the Cobras in the first match against Hawkeye Community College. Brooklyn Holdener added 9 kills. McMillen and Holdener each earned 13 points for the Cobras. On defense, Alayna Rudebeck led Parkland with 18 digs. The Cobras defeated the RedTails for the second time this season, winning in three straight sets (25-15, 25-15, 25-14).
 
The Cobras battled No. 20 Rock Valley College in the final match of the Heartland Invite. Once again, Shay McMillen led the Cobras offensively with 17 kills. Hailey Warfel finished with 29 assists. Parkland lost the first set, falling behind early, but came back to win the match in five sets (21-25, 30-28, 22-25, 25-13, 15-13).
 
Up next, the Cobras compete against Danville Area Community College (10-19) on Wednesday, October 16th. The match is scheduled for 6:00 PM in Danville, Illinois.
