Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The No. 19 ranked Parkland men's soccer team suffered a loss to No. 14 (DI) Illinois Central College (7-1-2) on Wednesday, October 2nd. The Cobras (4-4-3) fell to the Cougars 2-0 at home.
 
"Trying to navigate through this brutal part of the season has proven to be difficult and lessons are being given with each match," Parkland head coach Mark Sikora admitted after the loss. "Today's result came down to once again not being able to finish our opportunities, partly due to the quality of the opponent and partly due to the inability of some players to rise to the challenge.  Unfortunately, the great play of Yali Cohen, Noah Barkley, Isaac Warren, and Gustavo Poli will be overshadowed by the end result but will go again in a few days time with the intention of righting the ship."
 
William Arana, Yali Cohen, Noah Barkley, Hidenori Akasaka, and Shion Hayashi all put a shot on goal. Matteo Puli had three saves.
