Box Score 2 CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – No. 4 Cobras volleyball defeated Spoon River College (13-23) and Rend Lake College (9-15) at the Parkland Tri on Sunday, October 20th. The Cobras swept both teams in three sets on Sophomore Day.
In match one against Spoon River College, the Cobras totaled 39 kills and 66 digs.
Shay McMillen led the Cobras on offense with 9 kills and
Libby Bodine led the defense with 21 digs. Bodine also contributed three aces. Parkland currently has 447 service aces this season, which puts them at number one in NJCAA Division II. The Cobras also lead the nation in kills (1877), attacks (4910), assists (1773), digs (3207), block assists (504), points (2609), and points per set (18).
The Cobras faced Rend Lake College in match two, winning 25-17, 25-22, 25-17.
Brooklyn Holdener had 14 kills and
Riley Ries added 13 kills.
Libby Bodine,

Addie Beekman combined for 51 digs. The Cobras are averaging 22.12 digs per set this season.
