Parkland Falls Short to Elgin Community College

Cobras lose to the Spartans 3-1

Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Parkland College women's soccer dropped a match to Elgin Community College (7-5) on Saturday, October 5th. The Cobras are now 0-11 this season. 
 
The Spartans scored in the 21st minute and 24th minute, leading the Cobras 2-0 at the half. In the 48th minute, the Spartans were able to score a final time, making the score 3-0. Parkland continued to battle and got on the board in the 84th minute with a goal from Megan Janson, but it was not enough, and the Cobras fell 3-1 to the Spartans. 
 
Lera Wilson recorded two shots on goal, while Flynn Lemaire added one. In 90 minutes of playing time, Leire Rodriguez made 18 saves. 
 
Up next, the Cobras host M-WAC rival No. 4 Heartland Community College (11-1-1) on Wednesday, October 9th at 2:00 PM.
