Lucy Fearday led the team in scoring, going 6-8 from the field in the loss. Fearday also led the team in assists and rebounds.
The Cobras (3-3) pulled ahead by as much as nine points in the first quarter, but the Reivers closed the gap, and Parkland led 19-16 at the start of the second quarter. Parkland extended the lead to 12 midway through the second quarter, but the Reivers trimmed the deficit again, making it a one-point game going into halftime. With one minute left in the third quarter, the game was tied 48-48. The score remained close after that, but the Cobras were unable to recover from the deficit once the Reivers pulled ahead again. Iowa Western led for the entirety of the fourth quarter, handing Parkland the 71-66 loss.
Parkland went 25-43 from the field (58.1%), 7-18 from three (38.9%), and 9-16 from the free throw line (56.3%). The Cobras totaled 21 rebounds, 10 assists, and 8 steals.
