Box Score ROCKFORD, Ill. – Parkland women's basketball won against No. 17 Rock Valley College (3-4) on Wednesday, November 20. Freshman Stacie Vonderheide led the Cobras, scoring an impressive 42 points in the win. Vonderheide went 16-20 from the field, 2-3 from three, and 8-9 from the free throw line. 
 
"Our ladies truly deserved this win tonight after all their hard work," Parkland head coach Jean Demosthenes said after the game. "I am so proud of them for fighting through the adversities they faced over the past seven weeks."
 
At halftime, the Cobras (4-3) led 45-38. Stacie Vonderheide had a big third quarter, scoring 19 points to help the Cobras extend the lead to 22 going into the fourth quarter. The Golden Eagles started to close the gap in the fourth quarter, but the Cobras were able to maintain the lead and earn the 90-83 win on the road. 
  
Demosthenes noted that Parkland competed with seven players, which made it challenging from a rotational perspective. "We need to continue focusing on taking care of the ball and ensuring we close out games when we have a double-digit lead," Demosthenes concluded. 
 
Parkland went 36-66 from the field (54.5%), 3-11 from three (27.3%), and 15-18 from the free throw line (83.3%). Crissiana Rose recorded a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
