Box Score ROCKFORD, Ill. – No. 6 Parkland men's basketball earned another hard-fought win against Rock Valley College (4-4) on Wednesday, November 20. The Cobras (6-0) were tied with the Golden Eagles at halftime, but pulled away in the second half, outscoring their opponents 52-37 to get the win.
Drew Lewis Jr. led the Cobras in the first half, scoring 10 of their 33 total points.
JaMonte Williams and
Kobe Watson crashed the boards, totaling 8 rebounds between the two in the first 20 minutes of play. Williams also went 4-4 from the free throw line to help the Cobras stay in the game. In the second half,
Jaiden Martin contributed 12 points, going 4-6 from the field, 1-2 from three, and 3-4 from the free throw line. The Cobras shot 63.3% from the field in the second half, and the Golden Eagles shot 44.4%.
Six Cobras scored in double digits to earn the sixth win of the season. The Cobras went 31-56 from the field (55.4%), 11-25 from three (44%), and 12-15 from the free throw line (80%). Parkland outrebounded Rock Valley 35-29.
