Box Score CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. – The No. 2 seed Parkland College volleyball team lost in four sets to Johnson County Community College (29-6) in the NJCAA DII National Tournament Quarterfinals on Thursday, November 21. Johnson County has handed Parkland two of its three losses this season. 

Parkland (49-3) fell behind after losing the first set 25-18, but came back to win the second set 27-25. The Cobras had the 25-24 lead in the third set, but the Cavaliers scored three points in a row to get the win. The score was tied 10-10 in the fourth set, but the Cavaliers took the lead after that and the Cobras were unable to pull ahead again. Parkland fell 25-19 in the fourth set to the Cavaliers. The Cobras totaled 50 kills in the match, led by Addie Beekman with 13. Ashlee Freeman produced a team-high 19 assists in the loss. 

Up next, the Cobras take on No. 9 seed Pensacola State College (21-9) in the consolation bracket. The match is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, November 22.
