Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. – The No. 2 seed Parkland College volleyball team won two matches in the NJCAA DII National Tournament on Friday, November 22. The Cobras defeated No. 9 seed Pensacola State College (21-10) and No. 3 seed Kirkwood Community College (36-8) in four sets. 

Parkland (51-3) played Pensacola State in the first match of the day. The Cobras fell behind 23-19 in set one but came back to tie it 26-26. The Pirates were able to pull ahead again after the tie, ultimately winning the first set 29-27. After falling behind, the Cobras came back to win the next three sets in a row and advance in the consolation bracket. Brooklyn Holdener and Shay McMillen had 13 kills apiece. Hailey Warfel and Ashlee Freeman combined for 46 of Parkland's 60 assists. 

In match two, the Cobras battled Kirkwood Community College. The Eagles got an early lead in set one (6-5), but the Cobras scored seven points in a row to earn the 12-6 lead and never looked back again. The Cobras triumphed in set one, taking the 1-0 match lead. In set two, the Pirates had a six-point lead, but the Cobras fought back to score 8 points in a row to pull ahead 20-18. The Pirates were able to overcome the deficit, however, and earn the set two victory. The Cobras controlled set three, winning 25-15, and went on to win a close set four 26-24. Addie Beekman tallied 17 kills and 16 digs for the Cobras. Libby Bodine and Alayna Rudebeck each produced 21 digs. 

Up next, the Cobras take on No. 5 seed Heartland Community College (37-8) at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 23. The winner plays in the 3rd place match at 3:30 PM.
