Box Score CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. – The No. 2 seed Parkland College volleyball team placed 5th in the NJCAA DII National Tournament after losing to No. 5 seed Heartland Community College (38-8) on Saturday, November 23. The Cobras ended a successful season with an overall record of 51-4.
Parkland lost the first set to the Hawks, but came back to win the second set 25-23. The third set was a tough battle between the two teams, but the Hawks prevailed to win 26-24. After going up 6-5 in the fourth set, the Hawks did not lose the lead again. Heartland defeated Parkland 25-19, earning a spot in the 3rd place match. The Hawks went on to beat Kansas City Kansas Community College in five sets and claim the 3rd place trophy.

Brooklyn Holdener,
Addie Beekman, and
Shay McMillen all produced 12 kills. Beekman also led the team in digs with 19. Following the end of the season, three Cobras received All-Conference and All-Region honors:

Addie Beekman was also named the MWAC Conference Freshman of the Year.
