Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland men's soccer team advanced to the next round of the NJCAA DII Central District Championship with an 6-1 win over National Park College on Friday, November 8th. The Parkland defense held the Nighthawks (5-7-2) to four shots on goal in the win. 

The Cobras (8-6-3) opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a goal from Santiago Samame, and Umberto Tucceri doubled the lead in the 18th minute with an assist from Yali Cohen. The Cobras continued to power past the Nighthawks for the rest of the match, scoring four more unanswered goals. The Nighthawks scored their only goal in the 88th minute. Hidenori Akasaka had two goals and two assists.
