Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – No. 5 Parkland men's basketball added another home win over Wayne County Community College (3-2) at the Parkland Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday, November 30. Chandler Jackson led the offense with 26 points and also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the win. 

The two teams kept the game close in the first half, and the Wildcats went into halftime with the 37-35 lead. It was much of the same in the beginning of the second half, until the Cobras (8-0) pulled ahead 56-54 and started to extend the lead after that. With 3:05 on the clock, the Cobras had a six-point lead. Parkland did not lose the lead for the rest of the game and secured the 87-72 win at home after Chandler Jackson scored his 26th point in the last ten seconds of the game. 

Lane McVicar contributed 14 points and JaMonte Williams added 12 points. Williams went 5-6 from the free throw line. The Cobras went 31-64 from the field (48.4%), 13-24 from three (54.2%), and 12-18 from the free throw line (66.7%).
