Box Score JACKSON, Michigan – Parkland women's basketball defeated No. 23 Jackson College (8-2) 77-70 on Thursday, December 12, handing the Jets their second loss of the season. The Cobras improve to 6-4 on the season after the win.Â

The Cobras went 16-26 (61.5%) from the free throw line and 38-60 from the field (46.7%) in the win.
Maliah Sparks led the Cobras in scoring with 22 points, and
Savannah Shumate recorded a double-double (10 points, 11 rebounds). Sparks added a team-high six steals to go along with her 22 points.
Stacie Vonderheide (16 points) and
Danielle Ruffin (14 points) also reached double figures.Â

Parkland is currently 2nd in the nation in field goal percentage (49.2%) and free throw percentage (75.3%).Â
