Box Score LAKE WORTH, Fl. – Parkland women's basketball defeated Florida State College at Jacksonville (7-7) in the second game of the Palm Beach State Classic on Wednesday, December 18. Maliah Sparks (18 points) and Danielle Ruffin (15 points) both scored in double digits to help the Cobras earn the win and improve to 7-6 overall. 
 
The Cobras raced out to a 17-10 lead in the first quarter and then held the Manta Rays to just eight points in the second quarter. At halftime, Parkland had earned the 30-18 lead. To open the second half, a Crissiana Rose bucket extended the lead to 14 points, but the Manta Rays started to close the gap. With 8:00 on the clock in the fourth quarter, the Cobras had an eight-point lead, but they never allowed the Manta Rays to get closer than that. Parkland scored 20 points in the final quarter to get the 63-49 win.
