Box Score LAKE WORTH, Fl. – Parkland women's basketball won against Chesapeake College (4-6) in the final game of the Palm Beach State Classic on Thursday, December 19. Maliah Sparks led with 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 steals. The Cobras went 12-14 (85.7%) from the free throw line in the win. 
 
The Skipjacks scored first, but the Cobras (8-6) went on an 8-0 run to pull ahead 8-2 in the first quarter. With under two minutes left on the clock, Maliah Sparks hit three three-pointers in a row to give the Cobras the 19-8 lead. The momentum stayed with the Cobras in the second quarter, and they outscored their opponent 21-8, giving them the 40-16 lead at halftime. In the third quarter, the Cobras continued to control the game and maintain a double digit lead. In the final seconds of the third quarter, an assist from Trinity Harden to Maliah Sparks under the basket put them up 52-28. The Cobra offense didn't slow down in the fourth quarter, piling on another 20 points to secure the 72-51 win.
