Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – No. 22 Parkland women's basketball lost to Vincennes University at home on Saturday, December 7. The Cobras (5-4) produced a season-low 59 points against the NJCAA Division I Trailblazers (4-7) in the loss.Â

The Cobras trailed Vincennes 16-13 at the end of the first quarter. Going into halftime, the Trailblazers had extended the lead to 43-27. Parkland started to close the gap in the third quarter, trimming the lead to ten points with 2:30 on the clock. The Cobras continued to fight in the final quarter, going on a 12-0 run to tie the game 55-55. The Trailblazers went on a 7-0 run after the game was even, and the Cobras were unable to recover from the deficit. Parkland lost 69-59 to the Trailblazers at home, falling to 2-2 at home this season.Â

Danielle Ruffin led the Cobras with 20 points, followed by
Maliah Sparks with 15. The Cobras went 9-10 from the free throw line in the loss. Ruffin went 3-3 from the free throw line and Sparks went 5-5.Â
