Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The No. 5 ranked Parkland volleyball team extended its winning streak to eight games on Wednesday, August 28^th, defeating Mid-West Athletic Conference foe Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill. The Cobras defeated the Loggers (4-1) in straight sets (25-17, 25-20, 25-20). The Cobras improved their conference record to 1-0, and now sit at 8-0 overall on the season. This is the first loss of the season for Lincoln Land.
 
Addie Beekman led the offense with 8 kills, while Hailey Warfel tallied 18 assists. Brooklyn Holdener and Alayna Rudebeck each added 3 aces.
 
Up next, Parkland will compete in the Owens Invitational in Perrysburg, Ohio, this weekend. The Cobras open the tournament against No. 8 Richard Bland College (2-0) and St. Clair County Community College (4-1) on Saturday, August 31^st at 4:00 PM and 7:15 PM, respectively.
