Box Score 2 PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The No. 5 ranked Parkland College volleyball team kicked off the Owens Invitational with wins over No. 8 Richard Bland College and St. Clair County Community College. The Cobras (10-0) battled in a tight match with the Statesmen (5-1), ultimately winning in three sets and handing them their first loss of the season.
Addie Beekman led the offense with 10 kills, followed by
Brooklyn Holdener with 5 kills.
The Cobras faced St. Clair County Community College (6-4) in match two, again winning in three sets.
Addie Roesch had 12 kills, while
Ashlee Freeman added 12 assists. The Cobras improve to 10-0 on the season after the win against the Skippers.
Parkland will resume action tomorrow, September 1, against St. Johns River Community College and Cuyahoga Community College on the final day of the Owens Invitational. Tip-off against the Vikings (5-3) will be at 10:00 AM and the Cobras will battle the Triceratops (2-1) at 11:45 AM.
